We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers we need to run the shop:

  • Payment processing: WooPayments (operated by Automattic, using Stripe), which handles card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Amazon Pay transactions.
  • Website hosting: Hostinger, who host the site and its database.

  • Analytics and advertising measurement: Google (Google Analytics 4 and Google for WooCommerce), where you have accepted analytics cookies.

We may also disclose information where we are legally required to, for example to HMRC or to law enforcement acting under proper authority.

Transfers outside the UK

Some of these providers process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or an adequacy decision.

How long we keep it

  • Order and transaction records: six years after the end of the tax year they relate to, because HMRC requires it.
  • Account details: until you ask us to close your account.
  • Contact form enquiries: up to 24 months after your enquiry is resolved.
  • Analytics data: in line with the retention period set in Google Analytics, by default 14 months.

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. This site uses:

  • Strictly necessary cookies that keep your basket and session working and allow you to sign in. The site cannot function without these.
  • Performance cookies used by our caching system to serve pages quickly.
  • Analytics cookies set by Google Analytics, which help us understand which products and pages people look at. These are only set where you have agreed to them.

You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop the basket and checkout working.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate information corrected;
  • ask us to delete information, where we have no continuing reason to keep it;
  • ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to our use of it;
  • receive your information in a portable format;
  • withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent.

To exercise any of these, email info@hellohomehh.com. We will respond within one month. Note that we may need to keep order records even after an erasure request, where tax law requires it.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK supervisory authority, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes affecting how we use your information will be notified to account holders by email.
